Tibor, dear,
I've never yet cooked a feast that I didn't spend more of my own money on
than if I were having a private dinner party for a dozen people. I'd bet
that the cook who offered you special dishes did so because he/she knew
you and wanted to do something nice for you. (In case y'all on the list
didn't know it, Tibor is a -very- pleasant and hardworking gentleman.)
I'd also assume that it was a personal gift and just say thank you and
eat up.
The idea of Tibor "freeloading" is for to guffaw at.
