Folks, I can think of nothing else I would rather do than ornament my entire
wardrobe with cook's badges. Let's call it the (orange) badge of courage.

After all, I cooked the food at the first event I ever went to, a 12th night
in a private home. The cook was insulted that I wouldn't eat or allow any
one else to eat food cooked in her kitchen without cleaning it thoroughly
for her. There was a pan sitting on the counter, that had to have been there
for at least three weeks. Once, it was a meat loaf. It now had a life of
it's own. The oven caught on fire when she lit it. We still don't know what
color the counter or floor were supposed to be. Let's not discuss the
refrigerator.

So, I "helped" and she instructed. It turned out rather well. And then my
brother tried to sell me for a bag of pretzels, but that's another story.....

Aoife, no longer a cute, buxom young thing, but now worth way more than 1
bag of hard, salty pretzels!
