And another idea?  How about putting reply comments at the TOP of the
message instead of way down after all the quoted stuff... then people
who are following the discussion can see what's new right away, instead
of having to page down for ages thru the copied inclusions...?

(I agree 110% with Aoife about editing what gets included back to the
list; and it's easy to do, see below!)
