The Settlement Cook Book Put out by Simon and Schuster of New York
is an excellent cook book. 15 years ago when I went to the cookbooks on
how to make a pumpkin pie from scratch they, meaning Betty Crocker, Better
homes, etc, all said 1 can of pumpkin, The Settlement Cookbook was the only
one that explained how to prepare fresh pumpkin. Its got lots of good
information.
