SC - Late-period is NOT Medieval

Gunther,
I agree. It think a lot of cooks either don't have the right sources
or don't think medival food tastes good. The latter is a big
misconception in the SCA and in this kingdom. I know that a number of
cooks here in Ansteorra have done a lot to try and change that, Gunther
has up in the Steppes area, I have tried down in Stargate and Clarissa
has here in Bryn Gwlad. I know there are others out there also trying
their best to cook period food and I commend them. But, then there are
those that still insist on cooking for example: steak, potatoes and
corn... because everyone likes it. And believe me, this same feast was
done 2 years in a row!
I guess all we can do is stay out there and keep cooking and trying to
change peoples perception of medieval food.
Maybe a cook's collegium here in kingdom could help! Any other
suggestions?
my 2 cents.
