Gunther,

I agree.   It think a lot of cooks either don't have the right sources
or don't think medival food tastes good. The latter is a big
misconception in the SCA and in this kingdom.  I know that a number of
cooks here in Ansteorra have done a lot to try and change that, Gunther
has up in the Steppes area, I have tried down in Stargate and Clarissa
has here in Bryn Gwlad.  I know there are others out there also trying
their best to cook period food and I commend them.  But, then there are
those that still insist on cooking for example:  steak, potatoes and
corn... because everyone likes it.   And believe me, this same feast was
done 2 years in a row!     
I guess all we can do is stay out there and keep cooking and trying to
change peoples perception of medieval food.

Maybe a cook's collegium here in kingdom could help!   Any other
suggestions?
