I'm old, and therefore both experienced and sometimes cynical.... but I
don't want to go to events with electronic mailing lists being my primary
social contact idea.  I want to go for people, in all their glory.  (Not

mention, I want to meet people who *aren't* on email lists, too.)<<<<

Well, Baron Tibor, then you don't have to wear the badge.  If you do, we
will still allow you to meet other people.  


Brid, and others on the list, I'd love to be able to identify you and
know we had special interests and the beginnings of friendship already
established.  I will still go chirurgeon and attend [or even teach]
costuming sessions.  I might even speak to TOTAL STRANGERS!!!
