I have. Couldn't get it fresh at the time, so I tried making a tea of it.
Talk about bitter! It was the bitterest thing I had ever had (maybe that's
why they recommend putting a couple of leaves between two slices of bread).
My solution was to make my own capsules. I didn't notice any improvement,
but
that could be because I didn't take enough of it, didn't take it for long
enough, or didn't use fresh (this can make a serious difference -- some of
the
volatile oils may not remain after drying).

One other reason that the "leaf sandwich" is often recomended is that
fresh feverfew will occasionally cause succeptable individuals to break out
in blisters on the mouth.......... :-( But for those for whom it works, the
taste and precautions seem to be considered a small price to pay!

fresh
feverfew, they may have to grow it indoors.

True, although it's not very hard to grow, and can go out in the summer,
of course.
To drag this more or less back on topic---does anyone remember any
mentions of feverfew in period herbals? I haven't checked for it
specifically............
