SC - buried treasure

My favourite recipe for buried food (no I haven't tried it is the 
Scots one for dried skate.  Take skate.  Bury.  2 weeks later hang it 
up and wind-dry it.  Treat as for other dried fish.  Pity the 
neighbours - cartilaginous fish give off a heck of a lot of ammonia.
