Subj: Sweet Cheese Tart
<snip>
back to recipes, a local bakery makes a devine sweet cheese tart, that
somebody told me tasted like a thing they had had at a feast. here's the
ingredients as far as I can taste- does it remind anybody of a period recipe?
ricotta chz
egg (binder)
sugar
pine nuts
golden raisins
citrus peel
all in a nice light "pie" crust, closed on top
I think they refer to it as a crostada or something like that.

For what it's worth, I used to have a cookbook, part of a TimeLife series,
called "The Cooking of Italy." One of the recipes in there sounded
identical to what you describe and the editors _claimed_ that it was a very
very old Tuscan recipe.
