Make certain where the saffron in question comes from.  The best is
Spanish but mexican and indian are also good. If they tell you that it
is Egyptian, DO NOT use it.  The government issued a warning last year
because the so called "egyptian saffron" is actually fairly toxic and is
usually contaminated with safflower.  LLEW
