>>BTW: what is a Tuchux.<<

Korrin,

At Pennsic, you find several groups that are not, or not primarily, SCA.
Some folks have multiple memberships, but play in Tuchux, Markland
(Vikings), Richard III, etc. The Tuchux clans are modeled on the Gor
novels. There are warriors--looking as scruffy as possible, in leather
loincloths, fur vests, feathers or fur in the hair, etc. (This is
difficult, for some closely barbared state troopers) The wenches wear
the bunny fur bikinis you occasionally hear about, and some wear dog
collars and chain leashes as well. They have their own honor, culture
and rules, but abide by SCA rules on the battlefields. There are some
terrific people in the group, and some not so terrific--like any group.
Wannabees are people who think it's cool to dress like Tuchux and swagger
around and act tough, etc., and usually end up making d*** fools of
themselves, because they don't have culture and standards of honor to
follow.
