Ours are in the other room. "Oh, the tree fell down? Oh, um, well, I've been
napping all afternoon in here so I have no idea how the tree fell down."

shredded bark from the artificial tree. Once upon a time, we had a real
tree.(back in family not spouse days in college) cause dad wanted one. then our
beagle (bless him in heaven) reminded dad why we have artificial trees-he marked
it. In the living room. And looked at us like-what? It's a tree. that's what
you're supposed to do. thanks for the indoor potty.
