SC - open fire cooking

Puck, so far as I know, it was standard practice to buy bread (often) and
flour very often - the lords of the day figured that monopoly was a
profitable game to play, and ovens were not all that common. On the other
hand, a really big baking oven of the sort (phlip?) was describing would
be a really cool toy. I once had the chance to use a small oven in a
modern style - fire under a brick box with all-round ventilation - beside a
kitchen made of timber poles and a big piece of canvas for a weekend. It
was great.

What I really want to try is the sort where a fire is lit within, and
raked out before things are put there in its place.
