As a cook who just happens to be gay, my reactions are two fold. 1)
Hmmmm.... so maybe I should use the term as a joke just to see how many
other people pick up on it... 2) Suprise at how much other people react
to comments like this, when they tend to slide right past me. I guess
I've heard them way too often. I do appreciate the responses that Ras and
Adamantius have shown. Thanks guys.

By the way, my take on the "title" thing is that no matter what name
people choose, someone is going to find fault with it, as there is really
no single title that really covers everything that we do in the
preparation and serving of a feast. That's why I tend towards feastocrat,
I'd rather make up a word, than use a word that doesn't do it justice.
But that's just my opinion.

Personally, I think that each "cook" should decide what title they prefer
to use. Most of the titles that have been mentioned are pretty
recognizable as the "person who is in charge of the feast". Use what you
want. But I think forcing people to use a particular title no matter what
it is will only cause bad feelings.

Anyhow, enough of my ramblings, I gotta go do my last minute pennsic
preparations.... See you all at Pennsic, or after I get back...
