To further clairify, I started the whole mess by referring to Adamantius,
Cariadoc, Ras, and some others as the High Priests of this little temple
to cooking whilst the rest of us were mere acolytes learning from on high
or somesuch.

That's when things got started. It was determined that I didn't have the
wisdom to be one of the teachers but should not be a mere choirboy. Some
suggested Pope, which I thought a bit pretentious. I believe it was Master
Adamantius that suggested that everyone from the smallest Parish priest to
the Pope could be affectionately called "Poppa". So it stuck.

Such is the history lesson for the new kids.
