Much or Ras' commentary deleted (although I tend to agree):
>both imported and domestic I have concluded that Walnut Crest Merlot is the
>best take home and drink tonight merlot. Cost: $5.99. Consumer Reports came to
>the same conclusion.

>If I have put across the impression that i am a wine bore, my apologies
>because the opposite is true. I enjoy a great wine but that does not preclude
>enjoying other wines , each judged on their own merits. In fact, my favorite

It is this philosophy that led my girlfriend and I to start doing
semi-comparative tastings of the wines we bought. If anyone would
like to see the results so far, they are on the web.

I had intended to move onto the either Merlots or Pinot Noirs after
the first six or so reviews, but I found another group of Syrahs.

Comments are welcome. For that matter, more reviewers would be welcome, too.
