Lord Ras,
I agree that a person who has definite food allergies should be
responsible enough to inquire at the kitchen if the offending ingredient
is present in the feast. I have known several people with allergies to
different foods, I had a college roommate that was lactose intolerant he
still ate cold cereal just without milk, I agree that to leave out period
ingredients from a recipe is just as bad as serving non-period foods at a
feast. This ranting about accommodating the few at the expense of the
many is as you put it ludicrous. Just have the recipes handy if any one
has a question and you have covered yourself quite nicely.

Lord Thorbjorn, Lady Beatrix's husband.

The above is in no way to be construed as the opinion of the wife only
those of the husband.
