I'm afraid they are not appropriate. The Andalusian recipes are from 13th
century Islamic cookbooks and are unlikely to be very similar to 16th-c.
Christian Spanish. I know there are people on this list who have been
working from later Spanish cookbooks, but I am not one of them.

Valoise Armstrong (on this list) has translated Sabina Welserin's cookbook,
which is (I think) mid-to-late 16th c. German, I don't know from which part
of Germany. We just got it this Pennsic and haven't worked from it yet, but
you can ask her about it.
