SC - One thing no kithen should be without

Brenna and Adamantius were discussing possible materials for blowpipes for
sugar candy, with a concern about metal ones becoming hot enough to burn
one's mouth.

It really depends on the particular metal, and the length vs. breadth of
the tube. Stainless steel is a relatively poor conductor of heat, for
example, and so one can use stainless mandrels and tubing to work with hot
glass, which is hundreds of degrees hotter than the candy would be. And
I've seen brass tubing sold for blowign small glass projects, although I
think I'd hold out for stainless myself.
