Greetings from the dist2 list.

You may be able to purchase tax stamps, and remove any stigma from
the whole process. In Georgia, the stamps are available at the state
office building, and cost $2.00 for 4 liters. If you have paid the
tax, you should have legal alcohol.

The Federal Government is not involved if no state lines are
involved. If you are not producing it commerically, and are not
selling it, and are not taking it across state lines, you are dealing
only with your state.
You may be able to distill alcohol for your personal use. This
varies from state to state. In most states, the penalty is for
UNTAXED alcohol, not home made. Even if home distillation is not
allowed, you can make a really strong case with records and tax
stamps, which you can buy from the state.
All of which is unfortunately untrue. If you are distilling ethyl
alcohol (BOOZE) the internal revenue BATF is most certainly interested,
has jurisdiction, and a wide ranging authority to confiscate everything,
including homes, autos etc, whether it is for personal consumption,
crosses state lines or not. You MUST have a license from BATF to
distill booze, regardless of local custom or law, or you are in
violation of Federal Statute.
Returning to the dist2 list where this discussion would be On Topic,
