Um, Ras, Excuse me, but as one hears so often on this list...

Not anecdotal, religious, or fictional sources, but hard documentation.
(that is why they are unwelcome in the SCA. The stated purpose of the SCA is to recreate the milieu of real Pre-Seventeenth Century Eurpoean life. There is just no hard evidence that they ever existed, whereas there is lots of evidence that humans existed. --Also pointed ears an an attribute of the "Fair Folk" is postPeriod, and possibly Early Victorian - BTW)
