Would that be Terence Scully, one of Le Viandier's translators? AFAIK,
Taillevent doesn't include the recipes for those mixtures, although Le
Menagier (largely dervied from Taillevent) does include a fine spice
powder recipe. And Scully is probably pretty reliable.
