Pecans are most likely not period. They are definitely a New World plant.

We often do talk about non-period recipes and food items here. Most recently,
the delunge of recipes and reviews of Thanksgiving and Yule dinners. I have
saved several of the nut recipes given here on the list. I will send these
to you by email rather than repeat the non=period recipes here, though. I
don't know if any of these will fit your needs but I think at least one
comes close.
