> o, with the understanding that we are both utterly gentile <g>, what we
need is some kind of hearty soup/stew/something that will not violate HUGE
rules, and will be acceptable AND tasty. Also, understanding the a truly
orthodox person would a) require far more than we would be able to provide,
and b) wouldn't be able to be there on Saturday, April 3 anyway, do any of the
cooks on this list have a suggestion for a tasty, period, reformed kosher
soup or stew?

First, let me say that I think it is mighty nice of you to want to provide
lunch for our Jewish gentles. Now, as a person who grew uo kosher & keeps
kosher, please me to advise that
All vegetables and fruits are kosher and all fruits and many vegetables are OK
for Passover.

So a vegetarian - vegetable soup would be great.Plain chicken stew with with
no breading of any kind (don't dip the chicken in any flour) and root
vegetables would be great for a main dish. (no string beans)
Email me privately if you'd like a list of specific Passover foods or if I
can help in any way. Seton1355 at aol.com
