Greetings,

We have recently been talking about a jelly made from carrageen moss or
Irish moss. In the past we have discussed aspic, which is as I understand
it, a jelly made from meat products.

I have created a file in the Florilegium in the past called aspic-msg.
Are these vegatable jellies and animal based jellies similar? If so,
is there a common name for these? What term would you look for if
you were looking for information on either/both of these? While
jelly-msg would be my first idea for a combined file for these, it
probably is too close to fruit jellies. gelatins-msg?

Thanks.
  Stefan

PS: Nanna, thank you for the wonderful info on the period uses of this
stuff.
