SC - French toast?

I normally do the eggs, milk, salt, various peppers, cyan, cumin,
paprika...big thick peice of rye or wheat bread and then fry it in butter or
bake/broil it then add the butter at the last second
under the broiler...
I don't like "maple" syrup so, but it really doesn't go with that
anyway...if I do, I make my own with maple sugar and reduce it a
much lighter conisiency than what comes out of the brown woman's head...
