Unlike others, I put nutmeg in my egg batter, rather
than cinnamon.  And I usually put real maple syrup 
(not imitation or Mrs. Butterworths!), or apple sauce
or apple butter, or apricot sauce, or pear butter (or
whatever fresh fruit preserves I have just made).
