I used Corn Syrup while I was in Nigeria, and I am fairly sure that my
memory is not faulty when I say that it is not at all like Golden Syrup in
flavour - also it is far stickier and attracts mosquitoes to their deaths!

I've never seen it here, but that doesn't mean a lot. Down heah in de
Southland we use Karo® Corn Syrup for baking. It comes in both a dark and a
light type, which is what I thought of when the original question of golden
syrup was asked. A comparison would be interesting.
