This isn't food related but one idea is to have one of your members go
in full persona and perhaps tell of their persona's life and stories and
songs the persona may have known.  I find this a fascinating addition to
a demo'.

Fighting of course needs to be a major part of any demo' where it is
possible, but the arts and sciences of our group need to be well
represented also.  Some may not be as interested if they feel their
spouse would have nothing to do....

One of the families that joined our Barony after the SERF Renaissance
Fair last Fall fell into this category.  He was very interested in the
fighting, but was very concerned that his wife would have things to
interest her as well.  

Everything adds to the overall experience.
