My pardon for not adding the recipe ...

Here it is:

ButterScotch Sauce

1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup cream
3/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
5 tbsp Scotch [your favorite brand]

Melt butter; add brown sugar and cream, and heat until
sugar is dissolved.  Boil gently for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool to lukewarm and add scotch.  Serve warm.
