Greetings!  Murkial (Gee, I didn't know that Ms. Rigby and Murkial were
the same person!) posted some comments.  Here are some more.  It was an
exceedingly delightful event.  What good sharing, especially when I hung
around
Sunday before dinner and Anne Marie and I got to jabbering about a project
that several folk might do!  Can't wait to get my new version of Access set
up with the proper parameters.

The food!  Oh, my gosh!  What to say??  Anne Marie's dinner was wonderful.
While
I only was served one half of a hardboiled egg, I chewed slowly to savor
every
bite.  (I'm salivating again!)  The chicken with cinnamon orange sauce...
the
Leeks Pourrey, The Coliflowers with White Sauce... Yum!  Even though the
Leeks
(made by someone else) turned out slightly differently than Anne Marie's
normally
does (according to AM), the flavors tickled my tongue and I almost licked
the
bowl.  The roast lamb...Cretonne of New Peas, Tourte of Pear... Culinary
heaven.

Jaelle's Jacobean Banquet was every bit as good.  The salmon... pink
delight!
A nearby diner scooped up the main piece of artichoke (not sharing it with
us!)
but the chopped up bits were still marvelous.  The chine of beef -- luckily
there
was extra on the platter because I went back for seconds.  The savory
toasted
cheese was extravagantly delicious.  And, perhaps my favorite sweet were the
Excellent Small Cakes.  I had helped to cut them up in the kitchen so I was
able
to eat a slice...Well, two... or two and a half... prior to dinner.  There
was
one "ruined" one they were going to toss, but decided to put it in the
microwave
to finish it.  Oh, it was good!

As mentioned, Dr. Milham was a hoot.  Just when you thought she was going to
keep on a serious vein, she made some outrageous comment!  I really liked
the
enthusiasm of the folk in the sugar paste class.  They were so tickled with
what they made!  Once they saw how nicely sugar paste took a "print", they
went
to printing all sorts of stuff.  One woman rolled her wedding ring onto the
paste and off came the imprint of the lettering.  She cut it out into a
strip,
rolled it around, and made a sugar wedding ring.  Extremely period!

Sure wish I had some of those leftovers for dinner!
