The following data is offered from both companies websites:

White Castle:  As the first hamburger chain, started in 1921, White Castle 
has been satisfying craves for over 75 years. People just can't get enough of 
that one-of-a-kind steam grilled taste. 

Krystal Restaurants:   Founded in Chattanooga in 1932  - with their 
immediately recognizable Krystal hamburgers - have become more than 
sparkling-clean eateries where friendly employees serve up fresh, delicious 
food. Krystal has become a cultural icon, and an experience that virtually 
every man, woman, and child in the Southeast has shared. 

In searching this data, stumbled across an interesting law-suit.  Seems 
Krystal Hamburgers is suing Krystal Technologies in a "reverse-domain name" 
situation.   Tech is located at Krystal.com while Burgers is located at 
Krystalco.com

 cite for Krystal? White Castle is a very old chain indeed, in fast food

 molded their burgers with five little holes in them, to save meat, and
 then White Castle's ad campaign in response, which said, "The holes are
 molded in, not punched out, so you lose nothing!" What genius came up
 with this, instead of the simple truth that their much-vaunted "steam
 grills" would send their burgers sticking to the ceiling if they didn't
