We always have a separate person in charge of each meal at our events. There
is the Sunday Breakfast Cook, the Lunch cook and the Kitchen Steward. Each
person is independent from the other and each is responsible for creating
their own menus and other logistics of whichever meal the are in charge of.

We usually put the least experienced person on as breakfast cook, the next
experienced as lunch cook and the most experienced as Kitchen Steward with
the person who wants to be the next Kitchen Steward as the CO for feast. Of
course this is not always the way it goes, given that some of us more
experienced cooks tend to like to do a lunch or breakfast occasionally but it
does offer a way for the many people who are interested in cooking at the
event a chance to do so.
