I think the treasure trove for those myths would be the diet book aisle
in the bookstore. Placed side-by-side, they can be even funnier than the
contents.
Those pamphlets by the check-out are pretty silly too.
Incidentally, I think the best way to handle not liking to see a donated
jar of peanut butter on the sideboard is to grab a paper towel, write
"poor man's tahini" on it and wrap it around the jar.
