Come on, now....isn't that a little harsh?  Emeril Lagasse was the executive 
chef at Commander's Palace in Louisiana for many years.  He is an excellent, 
talented, and very knowledgable chef.  He is just not a Medieval Cooking 
Scholar.  To classify him as a "fry cook" is unfair, isn't it?  We may all 
have a jones on for medieval cooking on this list, but just because he 
doesn't is no reason to lambaste the man.  He made an effort to educate the 
unknowing populace about a small portion of culinary history, and I send my 
kudos to him for that.  He may have gotten a few things wrong, but so do 
people on this list from time to time.  This is just my opinion, but I 
personally appreciate his small effort to educate the world.  He doesn't have 
to do this.
