Yup, it's Thanksgiving in the USA, time for parades, giant balloons and
that perennial urban legend recipe, Thompson's Turkey.  Has anyone here
actually made this recipe? Is it all just hype, or is it really as good
as it claims to be?  Inquiring minds want to know, I'm beta-testing it
this week, tastees at our Wednesday night open house for artsy stuff.

For the first time through, I'm not spending big bucks on a separately
and hand-cut turkey with the neck skin intact, I'm using the one that
the grocery store gave us for free with $75 purchase of other stuff.
I'm merely crazy, not stupid.
