My wife has. I went to my first Pennsic in 1987; my wife was 7 months
pregnant and this was going to be my last wild hare before settling down
into parenthood. I got there Thursday morning; at midnight Thursday 2
of the King's squires chased me down to inform me my wife had gone into
labor, and at 5:30 am Friday I was on a flight home to meet my impatient
daughter {friends carted my stuff home for me}. My wife was an L&D
nurse at the time and her co-workers knew about our involvement in the
SCA; however, our obstetrician didn't. He told her he was going to have
to do a c-section but wanted to talk to me first; how could he get in
touch with me? She said the look on his face when she told him he had
to ask for "Lord John le Burguillun who is camping with Queen Judith in
the Atlantian Royal Encampment at Cooper's Lake in Butler County, PA"
was priceless. His eyes apparently circled the room and all her
co-workers gave him little smiles and nods; yes, she really means it!

Obligatory food comment: I cooked an Italian feast for 136 last
weekend, using Platina and Cuoco Napoletano. Once I get my final notes
organized, I'll post the menu and recipes.
