Yeah, I talked with her about this at Pennsic.  She did say that it is possible that
the scattered rice I spoke of might be period.  I would also recommend Master Edward
of Effingham.  He also does substantial amounts of research in Japanese culture and is
willing to share what he knows.  At this point, I don't know how to contact him, but
suspect that someone on this list might.  I have to admit that I do not always agree
with what Solvjeg says...not that I consider myself any sort of expert.  But some of
what she says conflicts with other sources I have studied.
