It is awkward to stuff the casings with it, though, as it has a short hopper and no ram-rod to force the meat down.  I am currently surfing for one of those large cast-iron sausage stuffers that looks like a small wine press.  It isn't a neccessity (you can stuff casings with a funnel and a dowel), but makes for easier stuffing of 50# at a clip.  I won't buy a dedicated electronic sausage grinder/stuffer, but have no problem with the hand crank technology of the 1800's.

Try the low-tech supplier <www.lehmans.com> They have the grinders and all sorts of accessories.
