For those not following current European events, there is evidently legislation close to being enacted in Germany, Belgium (?) and another country that will . . . (get this Ras) . . . remove all urinals from public facilities do to the inequity to women.  As it is reported by the albeit sensationalistic radio press here in Atlanta, the legislation is motivated by the fact that since women cannot urinate standing up, then men should not have those facilities either.  

Now to hook this obliquely into a food topic . . . .

This appears to be similar to discrimitory practices in Early middle ages of leaving women out of feast halls or at lower positions at the table . . . maybe it's payback time?  Or maybe it's simply a way to appear to be making social progress by addressing rediculous issues rather than truly important gender inequality isses like representation in government, access to adequate health care for single mothers, and lack of air time for collegiate women's sports.
