11.  Aceite para tener frescas las caras
Poner en un vaso de vidrio un azumbre de agua ardiente y una
libra de mirra.  Tapar el vaso muy bien con borra picada con
engrudo.  Y poner este vaso debajo de estiércol y dejarlo
estar cuarenta días.  Y pasados los cuarenta días sacar el
agua ardiente y mirra del vaso, y ponerlo todo junto en un
alambique de vidrio.  Y cerrado el alambique, taparlo muy
bien con lo mismo que el mismo vaso, y ponerlo en una
cazuela que esté llena de ceniza
fría.  Poner esta cazuela encima de un anafre y darle fuego
manso por bajo hasta ser sacada la primera agua, que lo
conoceréis cuando veáis que 
comienza a hacer cañón.  Y como veáis esto, poned un
receptáculo donde cojáis esta agua segunda, la cual tiene
color de oro.  Y cuando comenzara a gotear espeso, quitar
aquel receptáculo y poner otro en que cojáis el agua
postrera; y fortificaréis siempre, como vaya saliendo el
agua, el fuego.  Y como hayáis sacado toda vuestra agua,
tapad vuestras redomillas bien.  Y con el agua postrera os
ungiréis una vez para siempre.  Y no os lavaréis hasta ser
pasados tres días, y con la otra segunda os ungiréis cuando
quisiéredes.

Oil to make fresh the face
Put in a glass flask an azumbre (two litres) of spirit water
and a pound of myrrh.  Cap the flask very well with stiff
wool pricked with paste.  And put this flask under dung and
leave it there to stay 40 days.  And the 40 days pass taking
the spirit water and myrrh out of the flask, and (then) put
it all in a large still (container) of glass and close the
still, cap it well with the same as the flask, and put in a
pan that will be full of cold ashes.  Put this pot over a
portable stove and give it mild flame to reduce until it is
taken the first water, that you will know when you see that
it commences to give a wall.  And when you see this, put a
receptacle where Bubbles this second water, which will have
the color of gold.  And when it commences to become thick,
quit that receptacle and put another in which bubbles the
last water; and fortify always, when you see leaving the
water the fire.  And when it has taken all your water, cap
the containers well.  And with the third water you anoint
one time for always.  And do not wash yourself until three
days are passed, and with the second anoint yourself when
you want.

12.  Pomada para rostro y manos
Media libra de unto de puerco sin sal, menuzado y majado muy
bien.  Ponerlo a serenar una noche, y después derretirlo en
una cazuela nueva y colarlo con un paño, y echarlo en agua
rosada.  Y poner con él un cuarto de manzana dulce y un
clavo de giroflé, y ponerlo a hervir hasta que sea consumida
el agua.  Echar dentro una onza de aceite de almendras
dulces, y media onza de aceite de almendras amargas, y una
cuarta de aceite de cuescos de duraznos, y una onza de
aceite de pepitas, y otra de aceite de   dormideras, y una
onza de cera blanca.  Y todos estos aceites y cera se ha de
echar cuando esté cerca de cocido.  Y cuando lo queráis
colar sacaréis la manzana y los clavos. Y después la
guardaréis en un vaso de vidrio.

Pomade for the face and hands
Half a pound of pork fat without salt,          and pounded
very well.  Put it to rest one night, and after melt it in a
new pot and strain it with a cloth, and cast it in rose
water.  And put with it a quarter part of sweet apple and
one clove of the clove tree and put it to boil until it has
consumed the water.  Cast it with an ounce of sweet almond
oil, and a half-ounce of bitter almond, and a quarter part
of peach pit oil and one ounce of white wax.  And all these
oils and wax have to put (in) when they are nearly cooked. 
And when you want to strain it take the apple and the
cloves.  And after keep it in a glass vessel.

13.  Para la flaqueza del corazón
Tomad una gallina y matadla. Y luego como la matéis,
desolladla, y tiradle todo lo graso, y hacedla pedazos.  Y
ponedla en una alquitara de vidrio. Y poned con ella cuatro
adarmes de nuez moscada, y otros cuatro de canela y de
clavos y jengibre cada dos adarmes.  Todas estas especias
molidas.  Y tapad la alquitara con masa, y ponedla al fuego.
Y sacad el agua de ella hasta que se espese. Y como se
espese, quitar el receptáculo. Y dad esta agua al que
estuviere enfermo y sanará.

For Feebleness of the Heart
Take a hen and kill it.  And then when it is dead, skin it
and pitch all the grease, and make pieces.   And put it in a
still of glass.  And put with it four sixteenths of an ounce
(quarter ounce) of nutmeg, and another four of cinnamon and
of cloves and ginger each two sixteenths of an ounce.  All
these spices mashed.  And take the still with the mass and
put it to the fire.  And take (out) the water of it until it
is thick.  And when it thickens, quit the receptacle.  And
give this water to those wo have sickness and it will heal.

14.  Remedio para el flujo de sangre
Tomad una cuarta de encienso, y otra de almástiga, y una
balausta, y tres nueces moscadas y media docena de clavos. 
Moled todas estas cosas y pasadlas por cedazo.  Y la mujer
que tuviere esta enfermedad, tome dos huevos asados, que
estén muy blandos, y vacíeles la clara, e hínchelos de estos
polvos y bébalos.  Haga esto nueve mañanas y sanará de la
enfermedad.

Remedy for Flow of Blood
Take a quarter of frankincense, and another of mastic, and
one pomegranette, and three nutmegs and half a dozen
cloves.  Grind all these things, and pass them through a
sieve.  And the woman who has this infermity, take two
roasted eggs, that will be very bland, and empty the white,
and puff up of these powders (with the whites) and drink
them.  Make this nine mornings and the infirmity will heal. 

15.  Untura para esquinencia o mal de garganta
Sacad el zumo de las cortezas de las nueces en los días
caniculares y tomar de él dos libras.  Y ponedlo a cocer y,
como dé un hervor, poner con él una libra de buena miel.  Y
cueza todo unto hasta que se espese como miel, y guardadlo
en un vaso de vidrio

Ointment for quinsy or sore throat
Take out the juice of the nuts in the hot days and take from
it two pounds.  And put it to cook and, when it gives a
boil, put with it a pound of good honey.  And cook all the
ointment until it thickens like honey, and guard it in a
glass vessel.

16.  Para almohadillas de rosas
Rosas deshojadas, ponerlas sobre una sábana donde no les é
el sol.  Dejarlas secar no mucho, y después ponerlas en un
harnero y rociarlas con agua almizclada, poco. Y poner el
harnero encima de un cosío, y poner un perfumador dentro con
menjuí. Y   perfumarlas dos días con el menjuí, dos veces
cada día. Y después perfumarlas otros dos días con pasta. Y
después poner las rosas en una almofía, y rocíenlas con la
misma agua, y polvorícenlas un poco de lináloe y
revuélvanlas. Y échenles un poco de almizcle y
revuélvanlas.  Y tórnenlas a rociar, y polvorícenles clavos
de giroflé y revuélvanlas.  Y póngalas en su cojinico.   Y
como sean dentro, èchenles almizcle, y lináloe, y clavos, y
algalia, y polvillos.  Y pónganle otra funda al cojinico.

For little rose pillows
Roses stripped of petals, put them over a 
Leave them to dry not much, and after put them in a sieve
and sprinkle them with musk water, a little.  And put the
sieve atop a ____ and put a perfumer between with benzoin. 
And perfume them two days with the benzoin, two times each
day.  And after perfume them another two days with paste. 
And after put the roses in a little aloe and turn them.  And
throw in them a little of musk and turn them.  And turn them
to sprinkle, and pulverize cloves of the clove tree and turn
them.  And put in your little cushion.  And when it is
inside, throw in them muck, and aloe, and cloves, and civet,
and little powders.  And put another covering to the little
cushion.

17.  Para quitar las pecas del rostro
Tomad un huevo fresco y quitadle la clara. Y limpiad la yema
mucho y la cáscara también; y hechad la yema en la cáscara.
Y ened hecha una pólvora de mirra, y atíncar; y clarimente y
azúcar piedra, tanto de uno como de otro. Y tomad el huevo y
llegadlo una vela. Y cuando conozcáis que se comienza a
calentar, echad en él de estos polvos tanta cantidad como
cabrá en una blanca, y mecedlo con el dedo. Y ponedlo en el
rostro de noche, y a la mañana lavaos el rostro con lo que
acostumbráis.

For quitting / getting rid of freckles from the face
Take a fresh egg and quit the white.  And clean the yolk a
lot and the shell also, and throw the yolk in the shell. 
And   a powder of myrrh, and tincal (borax), and beautifying
lotion and stone sugar, as much of one as of the other.  And
take the egfg and carry it a veil.  And when you know that
it begins to heat, throw in it the powders as much quantity
as will     in a white, and mix it with your finger.  And
put on the face at night, and in the morning clean the face
with what you are accustomed.

18.  Pebetes para los dientes
Media onza de encienso, media de almáciga, media de sangre
de drago, media de raíz de noguera, media de salvia, media
de mata, media de alumbre quemada, media de consuelda de
roca, media de coral blanco, media de coral rojo, un cuarto
de onza de cagibia, otro cuarto de galigal, otro de canela,
otro de clavos, media onza de cuescos de dátiles quemados,
media onza de rosas balasticas, media de piedra pómez blanca
y media onza de polvo de grana. Amasado todo, muy
polvorizado con alquitira almizclada. Y hechos los pebetes,
secadlos al sol o a la sombra.

Tablets for the teeth
Half ounce of frankincense, half of mastic, half of dragon's
blood, half of walnut tree root, half of sage, half of
mastic, half of burnt alum, half of comfrey, half of white
coral, half of red coral, a quarter ounce of ___, andther
quarter of galngal, another of cinnamon, another of cloves,
half ounce of burnt date pits, half ounce of roses, half of
white pumice stone and half ounce of powder of seed. 
Kneaded all, very pulverized with distilled musk (musk
water.  And make the tablets, dry them in the sun or in the
shade.

19.  Remedio para las muelas
Tomad simiente de cebollino, y grasa y cera amarilla: de
todas estas cosas partes iguales.  Majadlas muy bien y haced
unas peloticas de ello.  Y tomad una jarra de la boca
pequeña, y quitadle el suelo, y hazedle un agujero en el
hijar, y ponedla encima de una escudilla o vaso de agua. 
Poned debajo un poco de lumbre y echad dentro una de las
peloticas.  Y poned la boca a la boca de la jarra, de manera
que recibáis todo aquel humo.  Y recibid el humo de tres o
cuatro peloticas.  Y se os quitará el dolor y sacará los
gusanos si los hubiere.

Remedy for the Molars
Take seeds of onion and grease and yello wax; of all these
things equal parts.Mash them very well and make some little
balls of them.  And take an earthen jar of a small mouth,
and quit the top, and make a hole in the top, and put it
over a bowl or glass of water.  Put it under a little light
and put it between one of the little balls.  And put the
mouth at the mouth of the jar, of the manner that you
receive all that smoke.  And receive the smoke of three or
four little balls.  And it will stop the pain and take out
the worms if you havae them.

20.  Remedio para los dientes
Haced una cocción de vino blanco y raíz de esquiriola. Y
enjuagaos la boca con ella y no los dolerán los dientes.

Remedy for the Teeth
Make a concoction of white wine and root of __.  And rinse
the mouth with it and your teeth will not hurt.
