Hi folks!  This past week, when I went to my (nearly local) Shop and Save [formerly Edward's]--a slightly upscale supermarket, I was astonished to see, in the fruit dept, SOUR oranges!  So labelled, even.  No, I didn't try any.  (This store also had something labelled as "White coconuts".)

Sophistication reaches even the depths of Brooklyn! (Of course, my roommate brought home a package of fresh sage that had been marked 'chives'....)

By the way, I have a front yard full of wild onions.  At least, they smell like onions, they look like onions (round hollow leaf, white bulb)...  Does anyone know of any non-edible onionoids?  Are all members of the onion family edible?
