So there I was, a bourbon at hand, a Big Yellow Dog by my side, another
wrapped around my feet and life was as it should be. Then I came across a
slanderous remark that bordered upon blasphemy...

Did you notice how casually he said that, as though my life's work was
merely a sideline. As though my endeavors are not art in its truest form.
As though Michalangelo were just a painter.....Harrumph!

replies to other various and sundry posts; Mairin, I live in Newport, just
which is just south of Fall Reever. There are not as many Portuguese
markets here on the Island as there are over on the mainland, but the
quality is equal or better. Oddly enough, one of the best was a little hole
in the wall dive. About six months ago I went in to get some chourico and
they were remodeling to become a more 'mainstream' market. They went out of
business within two months.

'Lainie, while I realize that putting ones ashes in the garden might
normally deter slugs from their nightly feast, due both to grit and the
alkalinity of ashes being irritants to slug .... skin? ..., my ashes,
however, will be fine as silk and as sweet and fresh as a morning dew.

They'll be fine because the Cute Little Red Haired Girl will have pulverized
them on a daily basis while cursing my name for leaving her with all five
Brady Brats, two Big Yellow Dogs, one stoopid cat and one princess feline as
well as a business partner who needs constant adult supervision. They will
be sweet and fresh because she will undoubtedly start this first thing each
morning before she has had her coffee and will spill some of the sugar and
breakfast cereal in amongst my remains, then later in the day her Portuguese
heritage will shine through and she will use five or six gallons of bleach
cleaning up the mess that she will have blamed me for while she loudly
mourns my premature emancipation.

not gonna bother to run cuz it wouldn't do any damn good, Puck
