[Sca-cooks] 'lambs-ears' in medieval cooking?

I thought that someone mentioned using 'lambs-ear', which would be Stachys
byzantina, in medieval recipes a while back, and I'm still baffled. I am
finding references to lambs-quarters (Chenopodium Album) which seems to be
a pot herb. Did I just mis-hear or am I missing something?
