Goat is one topic I know a little of, my father raises them :-)

One thing to keep in mind is that goat, unlike sheep, fares better if
cooked medium well to well.

As for herbs, most herbs will work well.  Rosemary, Mint, Basil, Tarragon
are good in rubs (fresh herbs that is).
