I could go work for step-mom at her deli, like sister and step sister do.
I'd even get to 'live' with them-all. Two years ago, dad called me over for
the summer to help out when the head cook got drunk, and drove off into
la-la land. They had a new hire for when my "vacation" [ teacher's summer]
was finished.
