[Sca-cooks] Eugenia berries?

Cornucopia II cross-lists eugenia myrtifolia as a
see Syzgium paniculatum.
That entry reads:
Syzgium paniculatum- Australian Brush-Cherry. The juicy
aromatic, rose purple fruits are often eaten out of hand
to quench thirst or made into jellies. Widely planted in
California as an ornamental hedge. Australia.
A quick search with google lists several sauces, especially
barbecue sauces that are made with them as well as jelly.
