Speaking of which, I made ice cream for the first time last night. I went
out last weekend to Argos to buy a new vacuum cleaner and came back with a
spiffy new ice cream machine. But no vacuum cleaner. <laff> Typical!

So anyway, I made one batch of chocolate ice cream (using 70% cocoa solids
chocolate of course) and one batch of Southern Comfort ice cream for my
twin, who is in town for a couple of days on a business trip. I hope she
likes it cos SC is one of the very (very very) few alcohols (bar aniseed
flavoured ones) that I really don't like so I probably won't eat it. The
custards tasted very rich and yummy however, so I'll try the ice creams out
tonight. It's always fun learning new cooking categories! Anyone has any
good ice cream recipes, please do send them my way.
Ciao
Lucrezia
