Jaella refused to allow one of the people in my household to register Mavis
as a name, despite we had documentation to what it translated to in
anglo-saxon [thrush], that anglo-saxon non-christians would get themic names
[nature based goodies ranging from the ithemic names like elfgifu/elf-gift
to wulfgar/wolf-spear to mavis/thrush] and the fact that her mundane name
was thrush....
She suggested Mauvis, meaning mauve in color. Not an option!
